Rudd Lighting, Inc., an international lighting company, featured the Hampton Beach Redevelopment project in their Project Gallery. The Project Overview states that the materials included in the redevelopment project were carefully selected for aesthetics, quality, energy efficiency, sustainability and durability in the harsh coastal environment and that a key energy-efficient component of the redevelopment was exterior lighting. Jim Stockman, J & M Lighting Design, and Samyn-D’Elia Architects chose LED streetlights to provide improved lighting performance and energy efficiency combined with low maintenance. On January 20, 2012 Samyn-D’Elia Architects were presented the 2012 Citation Award from the New Hampshire American Institute of Architects for their design of the Holderness School dormitory and faculty residence buildings.
